Little Boy is shaping up to be a fine young man.

He smiles and he plays and he has lots of friends.

He gets high on sugar, and he acts like a fool.

Little Boy is where a little boy should be.

Little Boy comes home to a pretty little house.

He kisses his mom and he unpacks his lunch.

He goes into his room and he closes the door.

Little Boy is where a little boy should be.

Little Boy has brothers who care about him.

They taunt and they tease and they make him feel bad.

He tries to speak up but, well, kids will be kids.

Little Boy is where a little boy should be.

Little Boy’s dad is a responsible man.

He lives on the street, and he blames it on his brain.

He left Little Boy when things got too hard.

Little Boy is where a little boy should be.

Little Boy’s exposed to nothing but love.

There is blood in the basement, but mommy’s okay.

There are holes in the walls but we can’t tell a soul,

Because Little Boy is where a little boy should be.
